The soft colors in this 1840s engraving are so lovely! This coaching scene was engraved by 19th century French artist Jean-Pierre-Marie Jazet based on an original painting by fellow French artist Henri Auguste d'Ainecy Montpezat and was later printed in Berlin, Germany by Louis Friedrich Sachse.

"La vie d'un Gentilhomme en toutes Saisons" translates to "The life of a Gentleman in all Seasons"

Dimensions:

  • approx. 14.75" wide x 12" tall (overall, including frame)

Condition:

This engraving is in excellent condition.

This print has been re-matted with archival museum-grade sage green mat board. New archival museum-grade backing board, new dust covers and fresh hanging wire have also been installed on the frame. The frame is vintage and does show signs of wear – though the patina of time adds to the aesthetic of this piece.

This is an antique and therefore is naturally in "used" condition. Please view all photos before purchasing.
