This vintage English "Herring's Hunt" plate, made exclusively for Heritage Mint Ltd. Collectibles by Churchill, features a fox hunting scene design from John Frederick Herring Sr.'s (1795 - 1865) "Herring's Fox-Hunting Scenes" collection

This scene, titled "The Meet", was originally painted by John Frederick Herring Sr., a prolific 19th century English sporting and equine artist. Queen Victoria and the Duchess of Kent were among his patrons. Herring was also commissioned to paint motifs for bone china potteries including Copeland Spode.

A lovely vintage framed print featuring another of "Herring's Fox-Hunting Scenes" titled "End of the Hunt" is included in this May Antiques & Vintage collection. Find it here!
