DIY Equestrian Gift Tags with Washi Paper Stickers

DIY Equestrian Gift Tags with Washi Paper Stickers

Since launching my Countryside Seasons equestrian washi paper stickers about a month ago, I have been dreaming up fun new ways to use them, and these DIY gift tags might be my favorite yet. This easy craft is the perfect relaxing, cozy activity that requires minimal supplies and creates no mess.

I made mine while listening to an audiobook (The MASH Up by Laura Marie Meyers), but this would also be a fun craft to do with kids, or the perfect screen-free way to unwind at the end of the day.

What You'll Need for These DIY Gift Tags

You'll need just four things:

  1. Countryside Seasons Washi Sticker Sheets
  2. Manila hang tags (or make your own by cutting and hole-punching card stock)
  3. Scissors
  4. Ribbon*

*I used sari silk remnants. Sari silk ribbon is sold by the yard in dozens of colors on Etsy. Sellers also offer bags of scraps/remnants in several colors.

How to Make Washi Sticker Gift Tags

One sticker sheet covers about 3-4 gift tags. It's completely fine for stickers to hang over the edge of the gift tag – and it actually makes for a nicer composition. The thin washi paper trims neatly with scissors once everything's positioned.

It is as easy as:

  1. Place stickers
  2. Trim any overhanging edges
  3. Swap out the standard string/wire on the manila tag for a pretty ribbon

My Countryside Seasons sticker collection comes in four colorways, with sheets designed for each season. So, it's easy to make gift tags for a variety of occasions and holidays throughout the year.

Enjoy! When you make your own, tag me on IG @danielle.demers. I would love to see what you have created!
