A set of two vibrantly hand-colored engravings after German artist Johann Ridinger (1698-1767) – most likely mid-century re-strikes of an antique printing plate – showing dressage schooling movements. "Trot a Droite" and "La Balotade" make a beautiful pair with harmonious color palettes. These pieces would look equally nice hung one over the other or side-by-side, depending on the wall space they are adorning.

Dimensions:

  • Each piece measures 11" wide by 11.5" tall overall/framed

Condition:

Both engravings are in excellent condition with very slight yellowing due to age.

Both engravings have been re-matted with archival museum-grade antique white mat board. New archival museum-grade backing boards, new dust covers and fresh hanging wires have also been installed on the frames. Both frames have been freshly sanded and repainted. Note that the frames are vintage and do still show a bit of wear in areas.

This are vintage items and therefore are naturally in "used" condition. Please view all photos before purchasing.
