A vintage English fox hunting scene print from John Frederick Herring Sr.'s (1795 - 1865) "Herring's Fox-Hunting Scenes" collection after the engraving by John Harris (c.1791-1873). This print is beautifully framed in a solid wood frame with inlaid wood veneer details.
This scene, titled "End of The Hunt", was originally painted by John Frederick Herring Sr., a prolific 19th century English sporting and equine artist. Queen Victoria and the Duchess of Kent were among his patrons. Herring was also commissioned to paint motifs for bone china potteries including Copeland Spode.

Condition:
In fine vintage condition with just a bit of foxing on the print. The frame is in excellent vintage condition. New, archival museum-grade backing board has been added to the frame. A new dust cover has also been installed.
